Created to celebrate my partner’s milestone birthday through drag, performance and community, this self-initiated event transformed a personal celebration into a collective creative experience. Inspired by RuPaul’s Drag Race and hosted at VisArt, I developed the concept, recruited performers, coordinated logistics and crafted the run of show. I designed screen-hold graphics, created custom-printed $30 bills as event props, and built a confession booth inspired by the show where guests recorded video messages for the birthday girl. I also photographed the event, managed performer audio, curated the set list and took the stage as a drag king inspired by Heated Rivalry. From custom details to live production, the project brought together visual design, performance and experience design to create a distinctly personal celebration of queer culture and community.
