Morning Mix on 36th

Free community gathering with the people who live next door.

In a city where neighbors can live side by side without ever meeting, I opened my street-facing apartment and created a casual morning hangout with a DIY coffee and matcha bar, homemade syrups, fresh flowers, seating and music from friends. What started as an excuse to bring the block together has grown into real neighborhood connections — the kind that make it easy to text someone for a cup of sugar or check in after hearing a loud crash.

Approach

With sidewalk chalk and handmade flyers posted around the block, the project also brought a little analog charm back to event promotion.
