Communicators Summit: Event Identity & Experience

Context
The City of Charlotte’s Communicators Summit is an internal event bringing together public information officers and communicators across departments to align on strategy, share knowledge, and improve how the city connects with residents.

Problem
Internal events often feel static and informational, lacking a cohesive identity or engaging experience that reflects the creativity and impact of the communications team itself.

Goal
Create a cohesive, scalable event system that elevates the experience, reinforces the value of communications work, and supports engagement across both content and physical touchpoints.

Approach
Developed a full event identity and extended it across both digital and physical experiences.

  • Designed a bold, cohesive visual system for the summit

  • Applied branding across presentations, agenda, signage, and printed materials

  • Created interactive elements, including a “customize your merch” station

  • Designed invites, thank-you cards, and workshop assets for consistency

  • Built flexible templates for multi-session content and breakouts
